Crossroads Coalition Announces Establishment of Crossroads Community Fund
Crossroads Coalition, a local collective of 10 grassroots organizations working toward a Just Transition in Buffalo, is proud to announce the establishment of Crossroads Community Fund that will directly benefit frontline communities in the City of Buffalo. Approximately a million a year will be distributed through three grant programs over the next 10 years.
Grants will be available in three funding categories: a People’s Fund that offers mutual-aid style direct support to residents for crisis response and emergency assistance; a DownRoot Fund to build capacity for nonprofit organizations, emerging cooperatives, small businesses, and arts organizations led by historically marginalized and divested individuals; and a Power Up Fund to promote civic literacy.

We focus on tackling structural racism, economic inequality, sustainable development and environmental degradation. By mobilizing communities and advocating for systemic change, we are working to dismantle the failures of the corporate-led, extractive economy. Together, we can create a future where all communities thrive and lead the way to a fairer, more sustainable world.
